Land Acknowledgement
In countries across the globe and in areas across The United States of America, land acknowledgements may be used to open events and set communal understanding of the land which is being utilized. It is a way to signify respect for the history of the land as it relates to Indigineous inhabitants.
Spritz Land Acknowledgement: We would like to acknowledge that the land we are meeting on today has long served as a cultural site amongst Indigenous peoples, specifically Hopewell and Miami. We honor and respect the diverse Indigenous peoples connected to this territory on which we gather.
